Resolution to approve bid of NuGen Johnson, LLC for the installation of concrete curb, concrete pavement, asphalt pavement, perforated underdrain, playground elements, bike racks, benches, receptacles, drinking fountain and restoration at Klentz Park located at 2601 South 72nd Street in the City of West Allis in the amount of $209,024.66.

WHEREAS, The Board of Public Works reports that it duly advertised for bids for the furnishing of certain materials and the performance of all work required for the improvements in a certain area as hereinafter described; that the bids received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable and hereby recommends and deems it to be for the best interests of the City of West Allis that the bid of NuGen Johnson, LLC for 2017 Project No. 15 be accepted.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the bid of NuGen Johnson, LLC for 2017 Project No. 15 for the installation of concrete curb, concrete pavement, asphalt pavement, perforated underdrain, playground elements, bike racks, benches, receptacles, drinking fountain and restoration in:

 

Klentz Park

2601 South 72nd Street

(PLAN FILE NOS. B-824)

 

for the sum of Two Hundred Nine Thousand, Twenty-Four and 66/100  dollars ($209,024.66)

 

be accepted, and the proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to enter into contractual relations with said contractor for the performance of said work, in accordance with the prices submitted in their proposal and with the specifications of the City of West Allis, and that all other bids received for same be rejected; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, Klentz Park improvements be installed with funding from the CIP Parks and Open Space Fund, Account # 353-6013-552-31.02.
