Resolution relative to the vacation and discontinuance of a portion of unimproved public right-of-way of W. Euclid Ave. on the east side of the 3200 block of S. 114 St.
Body
WHEREAS, the public interest requires that an approximate 60 ft. x 225 ft. portion of unimproved City right-of-way of W. Euclid Ave. on the east side of the 3200 block of S. 114 St., shown and legally described on the map titled Exhibit A from the City of West Allis Engineering Department dated April 27, 2017, also known as File No. Y-1193, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, be vacated and discontinued; and,
WHEREAS, this Resolution was introduced before the Common Council of the City of West Allis on June 6, 2017; Notice of Pendency of the Resolution to vacate the aforesaid portion of public right-of-way was filed with the Register of Deeds of Milwaukee County on or about June 9, 2017; and Notice of Hearing was published in the official City newspaper on June 22, June 29, and July 6, 2017, and that the Hearing was scheduled before the Common Council on August 1, 2017, at 7:00 p.m.; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis, in accordance with the authority vested in the Common Council by Sec. 66.1003, Wisconsin Statutes, that an approximate 60 ft. x 225 ft. portion of unimproved City right-of-way of W. Euclid Ave. on the east side of the 3200 block of S. 114 St., shown and legally described on the map titled Exhibit A from the City of West Allis Engineering Department dated April 27, 2017, also known as File No. Y-1193, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, be, and the same is hereby vacated and discontinued, as required by the public interest.
