Resolution amending the professional services contract of Ayres Associates pertaining to the landscape design/architectural services contract for Reservoir Park, in an amount not to exceed $31,880 for construction oversight.
Body
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of West Allis (the "City"), on April 4, 2016, approved Resolution No. R-2016-0095 for landscape design/architectural services to prepare plans and specifications for playground/park designs for Reservoir Park; and,
WHEREAS, the City entered into a contract with Ayres Associates (the "Consultant") for said services, for an amount not to exceed $10,000; and,
WHEREAS, the Consultant has completed landscape/design/architectural services for Reservoir Park and Bluemel's Maintenance Services, Inc. was the chosen contractor via R-2016-0197; and,
WHEREAS, it is expected that construction of the Park will take place in fall of 2016; and,
WHEREAS, the City's Engineering Department has requested that the City hire the Consultant for construction oversight; and,
WHEREAS, the attached Scope of Services, Exhibit 1, provides details of construction oversight services that the Consultant will provide for Reservoir Park, in an amount not to exceed $21,880.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis as follows:
1. That the Director of Development, or his designee, is authorized to enter into an amended landscape design/architectural services contract with Ayres Associates, in an amount not to exceed $31,880.
2. That the existing landscape design/architectural services contract for Ayres Associates for the design of Reservoir Park which is $10,000 plus the $21,880 for construction oversight at Reservoir Park totals an amount not to exceed $31,880 and is hereby appropriated from the Parks and Playground Improvement Program funds.
