Resolution amending the professional services contract of Ayres Associates pertaining to the landscape design/architectural services contract for Reservoir Park, in an amount not to exceed $31,880 for construction oversight.
Body
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of West Allis (the “City”), on April 4, 2016, approved Resolution No. R-2016-0095 for landscape design/architectural services to prepare plans and specifications for playground/park designs for Reservoir Park; and,
WHEREAS, the City entered into a contract with Ayres Associates (the “Consultant”) for said services, for an amount not to exceed $10,000; and,
WHEREAS, the Consultant has completed landscape/design/architectural services for Reservoir Park and Bluemel’s Maintenance Services, Inc. was the chosen contractor via R-2016-0197; and,
WHEREAS, it is expected that construction of the Park will take place in fall of 2016; and,
WHEREAS, the City’s Engineering Department has requested that the City hire the Consultant for construction oversight; and,
WHEREAS, the attached Scope of Services, Exhibit 1, provides details of construction oversight services that the Consultant will provide for Reservoir Park, in an amount not to exceed $21,880.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis as follows:
1. That the Director of Development, or his designee, is authorized to enter into an amended landscape design/architectural services contract with Ayres Associates, in an amount not to exceed $31,880.
2. That the existing landscape design/architectural services contract for Ayres Associates for the design of Reservoir Park which is $10,000 plus the $21,880 for construction oversight at Reservoir Park totals an amount not to exceed $31,880 and is hereby appropriated from the Parks and Playground Improvement Program funds.
3. That the City Attorney be and is hereby authorized to make such substantive and non-substantive changes, modifications, additions and deletions to and from the various provisions of the Contract, including any and all attachments, exhibits, addendums and amendments, as may be necessary and proper to correct inconsistencies, eliminate ambiguity and otherwise clarify and supplement said provisions to preserve and maintain the general intent thereof, and to prepare and deliver such other and further documents as may be reasonably necessary to complete the transactions contemplated therein.
