Title

Resolution authorizing the Director of Development to enter into an amended landscape design/architectural services contract for construction oversite with Ayres Associates, for Roosevelt Park and Klentz Park in an amount not to exceed $17,988 per park (totaling $35,976).

 

Body

WHEREAS, the City entered into an amended contract with Ayres Associates through Resolution No. R-2017-0047 for landscape design/architectural services contract for plans and specifications for playground/park designs for Roosevelt Park and Klentz Park; and,

 

WHEREAS, the City has interest in making park/playground improvements at Roosevelt Park and Klentz Park, and construction oversite needs to be completed for both said parks; and,

 

WHEREAS, the Department of Development recommends that the City enter into an amended landscape design/architectural services contract for construction oversite with Ayres Associates, for both Roosevelt Park and Klentz Park in an amount not to exceed $17,988 per park (totaling $35,976).

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis as follows:

 

1.                     That the Director of Development, or his designee, is authorized to enter into an amended landscape design/architectural services contract for construction oversite with Ayres Associates, for both Roosevelt Park and Klentz Park, in an amount not to exceed $17,988 per park (totaling $35,976).

 

2.                     That the sum of $17,988 for Roosevelt Park be and is hereby appropriated from Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds and/or Tax Increment Finance District Seven (“TID 7”) funds.

 

3.                     That the sum of $17,988 for Klentz Park be and is hereby appropriated from the Parks and Open Spaces fund (Account #353-6013-552-3102).

 

4.                     That the City Attorney be and is hereby authorized to make such substantive and non-substantive changes, modifications, additions and deletions to and from the various provisions of the Contract, including any and all attachments, exhibits, addendums and amendments, as may be necessary and proper to correct inconsistencies, eliminate ambiguity and otherwise clarify and supplement said provisions to preserve and maintain the general intent thereof, and to prepare and deliver such other and further documents as may be reasonably necessary to complete the transactions contemplated therein.
