Resolution declaring Bikes on the Block a community event (July 15, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.)
Body
WHEREAS, WAMC 6.03(7)(e) allows the common council to designate a specified
public way or city-owned property to be the location of a community event; and
WHEREAS, NEWaukee is hosting pop-up events around the Milwaukee County area
in conjunction with the Harley-Davidson Homecoming Festival which will be celebrating 120
years of Harley-Davison; and
WHEREAS, NEWaukee wishes to hold an event on July 15 in downtown West Allis
and designate it as a community event to allow the consumption of alcohol beverages on the
premises;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of
West Allis declares Bikes on Block to be a Community Event, under the conditions stated
below:
The premises of the community event shall be the entire width of West Greenfield Avenue
from the west side of South 70th Street to the east side of South 76th Street.
The date and time of the community event shall be from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on July 15,
2023.
