Resolution authorizing the submission of an Energy Efficiency and Conversation Block Grant Program application to the U.S. Department of Energy for up to $120,000.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of West Allis is eligible to apply for up to a $120,000 under the Energy Efficiency and Conversation Block Grant Program offered by the U.S. Department of Energy; and,
WHEREAS, the EECBG program eligible uses include the development and implementation of an energy efficiency and conservation strategy, offering financial incentive program for energy efficiency improvements, grants, design, etc.; and
WHEREAS, the City’s Strategic Plan recommends efforts to help improve the efficiency of City operations, implementation of “green” efforts, and sound financial management that offers financial savings or efficient use of tax dollars; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Common Council of the City of West Allis, that it hereby authorizes the submittal of an Energy Efficiency and Conversation Block Grant Program (EECBG) application to the U.S. Department of Energy for up to $120,000.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor or City Administrator or their designee are authorized to complete and submit the necessary applications and execute all requirements associated the Energy Efficiency and Conversation Block Grant Program (EECBG) application.
