Resolution to accept the proposals of various nurseries for furnishing and delivering 612 trees for spring planting for a total net sum of $57,055 and 7,963 annual flowers at $5,375.50.

WHEREAS, the Finance Department has reported that it is duly advertised a request for proposal for various species of trees and annual flowers for the Department of Public Works of the City of West Allis, that the proposals received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable: and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposals hereinafter mentioned be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposals submitted by Acorn Farms Nursery for 278 trees at $23,145, Chestnut Ridge Nursery for 109 trees at $12,008, Goodmark Nursery for 4 trees at $780, Kanakee for 76 trees at $6,622, Leaves Inspired Nursery for 4 trees at $391, McKay Nursery for 6 trees at $998, Schichtel’s Nursery for 135 trees at $13,111, for 612 trees for a total net amount of $57,055. The purchase of the trees is from the following accounts CDBG (220-7522-563-53-16) (project C22401) 355 trees at $37,198, Forestry budget (100-4301-563-53-02) 65 trees at $5,275, CIP Street Projects (350-6008-531-31-01) 35 trees at $3,190 and Ash Tree Replacement funds in Forestry Budget (100-4301-533-53-02) 157 trees at $11,392 in accordance with City of West Allis RFP #21-011 be and is hereby accepted.
Also, that the proposals submitted by City of Milwaukee Greenhouse for 2652 annual flowers at $2,572.50 and Anton’s Greenhouse 5,311 annual flowers at $2803. The purchase of the annuals is from the following accounts CDBG (220-7522-563-53-16) (project C22401) 7,047 annual flowers at $4,957.50 and Forestry budget (100-4301-533-53-02) 916 annual flowers at $418.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Finance Department be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid trees.
