Resolution to accept the proposals of various nurseries for furnishing and delivering 282 trees for fall planting for a total net sum of $25,667.50.

WHEREAS, the Finance Department has reported that it duly advertised a request for proposal for various species of trees for the Department of Public Works of the City of West Allis, that the proposals received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable; and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposals hereinafter mentioned be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposals submitted by Chestnut Ridge Nursery for 173 trees at $13,623, Leaves Inspired Nursery for 30 trees at $3,490, Meacham Nursery for 23 trees at $2,978.50, Schichtel’s Nursery for 42 trees at 3,948, and Timberline Nursery for 14 trees at $1,628, for 282 trees for a total net amount of $25,667.50. The purchase of the trees are from the following accounts: CDBG (220-7522-563-53-16) (project C21401) 242 trees at $22,335.50, CIP Street Projects (350-6008-531-75-01) 40 trees at $3,332 in accordance with City of West Allis RFP #21-007 be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Finance Department be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid trees.
