WHEREAS, The Board of Public Works reports that it duly advertised for bids for the furnishing of certain materials and the performance of all work required for the improvements in a certain area as hereinafter described; that the bids received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable and hereby recommends and deems it to be for the best interests of the City of West Allis that the bid of MJ Construction, Inc. for 2021 Project No. 8 be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the bid of MJ Construction, Inc. for 2021 Project No. 8 for private lead water service line replacements, sump pump installations, storm lateral installations and sanitary sewer lateral rehabilitations at various locations throughout the City of West Allis for the sum of Eight Hundred Ninety-Seven Thousand, Six Hundred Thirty-Five & 00/100 dollars ($897,635.00) be accepted, and the proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to enter into contractual relations with said contractor for the performance of said work, in accordance with the prices submitted in their proposal and with the specifications of the City of West Allis, and that all other bids received for same be rejected; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That said improvements be installed with funding by the Wisconsin DNR - Safe Drinking Water Loan Program, MMSD PPI/I funds and Special Assessments.
