Resolution to accept the proposals of various nurseries for furnishing and delivering 508 trees for spring planting for a total net sum of $46,810.20 and 8580 annual flowers at $6,333.80

WHEREAS, the Finance Department has reported that it is duly advertised a request for proposal for various species of trees and annual flowers for the Department of Public Works of the City of West Allis, that the proposals received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable; and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposals hereinafter mentioned be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposals submitted by Acorn Farms Nursery for 112 trees at $13,395, Chestnut Ridge Nursery for 79 trees at $5,198, Goodmark Nursery for 2 trees at $307.20, Leaves Inspired Nursery for 9 trees at $846, McKay Nursery for 20 trees at $2,575, Schichtel's Nursery for 286 trees at $24,489, for 508 trees for a total net amount of $46,810.20. The purchase of the trees are from the following accounts CDBG (220-7522-563-53-16) (project C21401) 208 trees at $19,124.60, Forestry budget (100-4301-563-53-02) 211 trees at $18,584, CIP Street Projects (350-6008-531-31-01) 13 trees at $857.60 and CIP Ash Tree Replacement funds in Forestry Budget (4301-533-53-02) 76 trees at $8,244 in accordance with City of West Allis RFP #20-009 be and is hereby accepted. Also, that the proposals submitted by City of Milwaukee Greenhouse for 3242 annual flowers at $2,164 and Anton's Greenhouse 5,338 annual flowers at $4,169.80. The purchase of the annuals are from the following accounts CDBG (220-7522-563-53-16) (project C21401) 7288 annual flowers at $5,573.80, Burnham Point planters CDBG (220-7522-563-31-02 (project C20407) 572 annual flowers at $497.40 and Forestry budget (4301-533-53-02) 720 annual flowers at $262.77.
