Resolution to authorize the Director of Public Works to amend an existing professional services contract with Baxter & Woodman Consulting Engineers to provide engineering services for the City of West Allis Department of Public Works for the completion of phase 3 of the optimized corrosion control treatment study for an amount not to exceed $70,900

WHEREAS, the City has an existing professional services contract with Baxter & Woodman Consulting Engineers for professional services to complete phase 1 and 2 of the OCCT study ordered by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources in the amount of $18,000; and,

 

WHEREAS, the City will need further assistance from Baxter & Woodman Consulting Engineers for professional services related to the completion of the OCCT study; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that funding for this professional services agreement has been budgeted for in the 2021 Water Utility budget in account 501-2901-537.30-02 (professional services/consultants); and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works be and is hereby authorized to enter into an amended professional services contract with Baxter & Woodman Consulting Engineers for professional services; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works, with approval of the City Attorney, be and is here by authorized to make such substantive changes, modifications, additions, and deletions to and from various provisions of the contract from Baxter & Woodman as may be necessary and proper to correct inconsistencies, eliminate ambiguity and otherwise clarify and supplement said provisions to preserve and maintain the general intent thereof and to protect the interests of the City, including but not limited to, any and all changes necessary to preserve the intent of the Common Council of the City of West Allis.
