Resolution to amend an existing Professional Services Contract with AECOM Technical Services, Inc. to provide design engineering services for two Green Solutions parking lots in the Business Improvement District, for an amount not to exceed $97,800

Body
WHEREAS, the City of West Allis recognizes the importance of the use of Green Infrastructure for managing storm water in a sustainable manner; and,

WHEREAS, in this action the City has declared its intent to work with MMSD on these Green Infrastructure projects to install pervious pavers or bioswales to capture and retain stormwater as part of the installation of a new parking lot; and,

WHEREAS, the MMSD will provide funding for the design and installation of the pervious pavement or bioswales through their Green Solutions Program and Green Infrastructure Partnership Program; and,

WHEREAS, the City has an existing Professional Services Contract with AECOM Technical Services, Inc. for Engineering Consulting Services to update the City's current water quality management plan to aid in understanding the impacts of the total maximum daily load (TMDL) limits that will impact the Milwaukee River Basin and will result in an implementation plan that will guide the City towards the long term goal of meeting TMDL wasteload allocation targets in a cost-effective manner for an amount not to exceed $117,520.00; and,

WHEREAS, the City will need further assistance from AECOM Technical Services, Inc. to provide engineering design services for the survey and reconstruction of two City parking lots in the Business Improvement District between 71st and 72nd Streets and between 73rd and 74th Streets, south of W. Greenfield Avenue, due to the lack of in house staff with a green infrastructure engineering background.
