Resolution authorizing the City Engineer to amend an existing Professional Services Contract with AECOM Technical Services, Inc. to update the City's current water quality management plan in the Milwaukee River Basin for an amount not to exceed $10,000
Body
WHEREAS, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has now awarded a $58,760 grant to the City of West Allis through the Urban Nonpoint Source Water Pollution Abatement and Storm Water Management Grant; and,

WHEREAS, On January 7, 2020, the Common Council of the City of West Allis passed Resolution R-2020-0003 authorizing the City Engineer to enter into an Urban Nonpoint Source Water Pollution Abatement and Storm Water Management Grant Agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources; and,

WHEREAS, the City has an existing Professional Services Contract with AECOM Technical Services, Inc. to update the City's current water quality management plan to aid in understanding the impacts of the total maximum daily load (TMDL) limits that will impact the Milwaukee River Basin and will result in a plan that will guide the City towards the long term goal of meeting TMDL wasteload allocation targets in a cost-effective manner for an amount not to exceed $117,520.00; and,

WHEREAS, the City will need further assistance from AECOM Technical Services, Inc. to evaluate the performance of more existing structural best management practices (BMP) and model more existing structural BMP's.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated September 24, 2020 submitted by AECOM Technical Services, Inc. to update the City's current water quality management plan, for an amount not to exceed $10,000.00 be and is hereby accepted.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that funding for this purchase has been budgeted and is available in the 2020 Capital Project Fund, and the services will be charged to Account Number 540-1807-538.30-02.
