Title

Resolution to extend the emergency declaration in the City due to the COVID-19 Pandemic

Body
WHEREAS, an emergency, namely the COVID-19 Pandemic, impacted the City of West Allis beginning on March 14, 2020; and

WHEREAS, the common council declared an emergency on March 17, 2020, under File # R-2020-0196; and

WHEREAS, the common council extended the emergency declaration on May 5, 2020, under File # R-2020-0268; and

WHEREAS, the emergency is ongoing;

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that pursuant to Wis. Stat. s. 323.11, the common council of City of West Allis declares an emergency existing within the city as the result of an imminent threat of a disaster due to potential disruptions to transportation, food or fuel supplies, medical care, fire, health or police protection, or other critical systems. The period of the emergency shall be limited to the time period between March 17 and December 18, 2020.
