Resolution to Approve Policy #1408 2020-2021 Reduction in Workforce Plan

WHEREAS, It is the desire of the City of West Allis to offer a reduction in force program to assist in meeting current and future budget shortfalls as expenses continue to rise and revenues continue to fall due to the COVID - 19 Pandemic and other fiscal limitations; and
WHEREAS, the concept of the program was considered by the Administration and Finance Committee on May 19, and staff have reviewed the details and costs; and
WHEREAS, it is the responsibility of the Common Council to ensure the short and long term fiscal stability of the City of West Allis; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Common Council of the City of West Allis, does hereby approve Policy #1408 2020-2021 Reduction in Workforce Plan which is attached to this file.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that City officers are authorized and directed to take the actions necessary for effective administration of this program.
