Resolution authorizing the City Engineer to amend an existing construction contract with State Contractors, Inc. for the reconstruction of the concrete alley pavement and storm underdrain in the alley from S. Buchanan Pl. to S. 69th St. and from W. Beloit Rd. to W. Arthur Ave. in the amount of $23,866.67

WHEREAS, The Board of Public Works reports that it duly advertised previously for bids for the furnishing of certain materials and the performance of all work required for the improvements in certain alleys; that the bids received previously were reasonable and hereby recommends and deems it to be for the best interests of the City of West Allis that the existing construction contract with State Contractors, Inc. for 2019 Project No. 9 be amended.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the construction contract of State Contractors, Inc. for 2019 Project No. 9 for the reconstruction of the concrete alley pavement and storm underdrain in:

 

1.                     East/West alley:  S. Buchanan Pl. to S. 69th St.; W. Beloit Rd. to W. Arthur Ave.

Plan File Nos. AP-477, U-2658

 

for the sum of Twenty-Three Thousand, Eight Hundred Sixty-Six and 67/100 dollars ($23,866.67)  be amended, and the proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to amend the contract with said contractor for the performance of said work, in accordance with the prices submitted in their proposal and with the specifications of the City of West Allis; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That said improvements be installed with funding from Storm Water Management Funds, Bond Funds and Funds from Special Assessments.
