Resolution to accept the proposals of various nurseries for furnishing and delivering 745 trees for spring planting for a total net sum of $59,773.88

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Division has reported that it duly advertised a request for proposal for various species of trees for the Department of Public Works of the City of West Allis, that the proposals received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposals hereinafter mentioned be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposals submitted by Acorn Farms Nursery for 122 trees at $7,991, Breezy Hill Nursery for 14 trees at $1,750, Chestnut Ridge Nursery for 128 trees at $11,736.38, Goodmark Nursery for 3 trees at $510, Kankakee Nursery for 10 trees at $1,140, Leaves Inspired Nursery for 7 trees at $511, McKay Nursery for 32 trees at $1,649.50, Schichtel’s Nursery for 421 trees at $33,606, and Timber Line Nursery for 8 trees at $880, for a total net amount of $59,773.80. The purchase of the trees are from the following accounts CDBG (220-7522-563-53-16) (project C20401) 255 trees at $20,927.50, Forestry budget (100-4301-563-53-02) 413 trees at $33,194.58 and CIP Street Projects (350-6008-531-31-01) 73 trees at $5,651.80 in accordance with City of West Allis RFP #19-023 be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid trees.
