Resolution authorizing and directing the City Engineer to amend an existing agreement with Corre, Inc. for Engineering Consulting Bridge Inspection Services for a total sum not to exceed $4,900 as well as authorizing a budget transfer to fund this initiative

WHEREAS, The City has an existing agreement with Corre, Inc. for Bridge Inspection
Services at all twelve (12) bridges in the City of West Allis and to prepare plans, specifications and estimates for repairs on the Lincoln Avenue Culvert and the needed repairs on the 124th Street Culvert for an amount not to exceed $38,004.62; and,

WHEREAS, The City will need further assistance from Corre, Inc. to provide Bridge Inspection Services since the Federal Highway Administration and Wisconsin Department of Transportation have implemented complex new bridge inspection and reporting procedures which preclude this task being completed by City staff as was previously done.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the amended proposal dated January 22, 2020 submitted by Corre, Inc. for furnishing Engineering Consulting Bridge Inspection Services for a total sum not to exceed $4,900 be and is hereby accepted.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the City Engineer is directed and authorized to fund this effort by making the appropriate transfer of budgeted funds in the amount of $4,900 from the 2020 Provisional Employees Salary and Wages account #100-4601-533.12-01 to the Consultants Professional Services account #100-4601-533.30-02.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Engineer be and is hereby authorized to make such non-substantive changes, modifications, additions and deletions to and from the various provisions of the Contract, including any and all attachments, exhibits, addendums and amendments, as may be necessary and proper to correct inconsistencies, eliminate ambiguity and otherwise clarify and supplement said provisions to preserve and maintain the...
