Resolution to approve the transfer of one reserve “Class B” license to the Village of Hales Corners
Body
WHEREAS, the City of West Allis has 10 unissued reserve “Class B” licenses; and,
WHEREAS, the Hales Corners Village Board adopted Resolution No. 20-04 on January 13, 2020, in which it requested the transfer of one of the City’s reserve “Class B” licenses to the Village of Hales Corners; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Hales Corners is within 2 miles of the City of West Allis; and
WHEREAS, municipalities are authorized to transfer up to three reserve “Class B" licenses to adjacent or nearby municipalities pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 125.51(4)(e); and
WHEREAS, the City of West Allis has not transferred any reserve “Class B" licenses prior to this date; and
WHEREAS, the City of West Allis is required to establish an initial issuance fee, in an amount not less than $10,000, for issuance of a reserve “Class B" license that has been transferred; and
WHEREAS, after this transfer, the Village of Hales Corners may issue and renew the transferred reserve “Class B" license in the same manner as other reserve “Class B" licenses that have not been so transferred, except that the Village of Hales Corners shall remit the initial issuance fee from the licensee to the City of West Allis.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the request to transfer of one reserve “Class B” license to the Village of Hales Corners is hereby granted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the initial issuance fee for the transferred reserve “Class B” license is $________________, and within 30 days after collecting that initial issuance fee from the licensee, the Village of Hales Corners shall remit that same amount to the West Allis City Treasurer.
