Resolution awarding the sale of $8,570,000 General Obligation Corporate Purpose Bonds, Series 2019A

Body
WHEREAS, on November 5, 2019, the Common Council of the City of West Allis, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin (the "City") adopted initial resolutions authorizing the issuance of general obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed $2,500,000 for the public purpose of financing sanitary sewer improvements; in an amount not to exceed $1,540,000 for the public purpose of financing water system projects; and in an amount not to exceed $2,750,000 for the public purpose of financing street improvement projects (collectively, the "Project"); and in an amount not to exceed $6,660,000 for the public purpose of refunding obligations of the City, including interest on them (the above-referenced initial resolutions are referred to herein as the "Initial Resolutions");

WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 67.05, Wisconsin Statutes, within 15 days following the adoption of the Initial Resolutions authorizing bonds to finance sanitary sewer improvements, water system projects and street improvement projects, the City Clerk caused a notice to electors to be published in the MKE-Southwest NOW, stating the purposes and maximum principal amount of the bond issues authorized by those Initial Resolutions and describing the opportunity and procedure for submitting a petition requesting a referendum on the bond issues authorized by those Initial Resolutions;

WHEREAS, no petition for referendum was filed with the City Clerk, and the time to file such a petition has expired;

WHEREAS, the obligations to be refunded are the outstanding General Obligation Corporate Purpose Bonds, Series 2008A, dated June 1, 2008, General Obligation Corporate Purpose Bonds, dated March 27, 2009, and General Obligation Corporate Purpose Bonds, Series 2011, dated May 19, 2011 (collectively, the "Refunded Obligations") (hereinafter the refinancing of the Refunded Obligations shall be referr...
