Resolution to consider an extension of time request for Letter of Intent Agreement with Baum Revision, LLC Group for property located at 6771 W. National Ave. and potentially portions of 67** W. Mitchell St.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of West Allis (the "City") wishes to encourage economic development, eliminate blight, expand the City's tax base and foster job creation for the City through the development of the Property; and,
WHEREAS, the Community Development Authority of the City of West Allis (the "Authority") authorized the Executive Director to enter into a Letter of Intent Agreement with Baum Revision, LLC Group for property located at 6771 W. National Ave. and potentially portions of 67** W. Mitchell St. (Tax Key No. 453-0564-002 and portions of Tax Key No. 454-0251-001), through Resolution No. 1328, dated August 13, 2019 and approved consideration of approval for a ninety (90) day extension of time request through Resolution No.1335 dated October 8, 2019; and
WHEREAS, the Authority authorized the acquisition of the property located at 6771 W. National Ave. (the "Property") through Resolution 1101 dated December 9, 2014; and,
WHEREAS, the Authority wishes to create additional tax base and foster job creation for the City of West Allis (the "City") through the sale and redevelopment of the property; and,
WHEREAS, the Authority received a Letter of Intent for the Property located at 6771 W. National Ave. from Baum Revision, LLC; and,
WHEREAS, a ninety (90) day extension of time is needed by the applicant.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of West Allis hereby authorizes as follows:
1. Authorizes the Executive Director to enter into an extension of time request for Letter of Intent Agreement with Baum Revision, LLC Group for property located at 6771 W. National Ave. and potentially portions of 67** W. Mitchell St.
