Resolution to consider a Beloit Road Management Agreement by and between Beloit Senior Housing, LLC and Ogden and Company, Inc.

WHEREAS, the Community Development Authority of the City of West Allis (the "Authority"), is the Managing Member of Beloit Road Senior Apartments, LLC ("Beloit Road"); and,
WHEREAS, the Authority adopted Resolution #1331 on October 8, 2019; and,
WHEREAS, the Authority from a financial perspective is reviewing the option of contracting with Ogden and Company, Inc., to staff the property and cover the maintenance, cleaning, snow removal/lawn care within the capacity of the existing rents.; and,
WHEREAS, With staffing changes and on-going vacancies at the Department of Public Works, coupled with other city maintenance needs that require timely responses. This option provides the opportunity to obtain professional property management services from a firm that is skilled in maintaining senior living properties and providing excellent service to the residents, all at a cost that is effectively the same or perhaps slightly lower than current costs; and,
WHEREAS, the change to professional property management at Beloit Road Senior apartments is being recommended from an operational perspective; and,
WHEREAS, Staff reports that it duly sought out competitive quotes to obtain professional property management services; and,
WHEREAS, the Authority determines that the bids received were reasonable and hereby recommends and deems it to be for the best interests of the Authority and Beloit Road Senior Housing to obtain the services of Ogden and Company Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis hereby authorizes as follows:
1. That the Executive Director, or his designee, is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a Beloit Road Management Agreement by and between Beloit Senior Housing, LLC and Ogden and Company, Inc.
