Title

Resolution relative to the purchase of a 1930 Pirsch fire engine with donated funds.

Body

WHEREAS, the West Allis Community Improvement Foundation has been holding donations on behalf of the West Allis Fire Department; and

WHEREAS, the West Allis Fire Department has been engaged in a fundraising effort to purchase an antique fire engine originally owned by the City but subsequently sold.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposals dated September 17, 2019, submitted by Ewald Automotive Group, for furnishing and delivering one (1) 1930 Pirsch fire engine for $14,900 is hereby accepted.  Funding for this purchase is provided by donated funds and the purchases will be charged to Account No. 354-2201-522.70-03, Capital Equipment-Fire.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Purchasing Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid vehicle.
