Resolution relative to accepting the single source proposal of WCTC - Corporate Training Center for Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Training Program for a total sum of $23,800

WHEREAS, the City Administrator has received a proposal for providing Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Training Program for employees of the City of West Allis; and

WHEREAS, the Lean Training was approved as part of the 2019 Adopted Budget and is an integral part of the innovation and continuous improvement initiatives of the City; and

WHEREAS the continuation of Lean Training furthers Goal #5 of the City of West Allis 2017-2021 Strategic Plan: "Excellence in Government - The City of West Allis will continually review the best methods for effective and efficient service delivery by utilizing continuous improvement and LEAN operation techniques. Innovation and service excellence is expected and employees will be held accountable and rewarded for such"; and

WHEREAS, Lean Training supports the following core value and core competency adopted by the Common Council: "Continuous Improvement - Innovations through creative and strategic management;
Sustained improvement through goal oriented customer focused results"; and "Progressive - Is strategic, innovative, skilled in change management, and agile; challenges the status quo; explores and drives continuous improvement opportunities"; and

WHEREAS, the Common Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City of West Allis that the proposal of WCTC be accepted; and

WHEREAS, it has been determined that this contract is inappropriate for competitive selection because of the recent relationship and lean training of employees already completed with WCTC.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal submitted by WCTC, for furnishing and delivering Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Training Program for City of West Allis employees, be and is hereby accepted, and the City Administr...
