Resolution to approve bid of Thomas A. Mason Co., Inc. for the surface preparation, containment and collection of waste materials, and the painting of the overpass at Union Pacific Railroad Bridge Located at S. 108th Street (WIS 100) at W. Manor Park Drive in the City of West Allis in the amount of $93,637.50.

WHEREAS, The Board of Public Works reports that it duly advertised for bids for the furnishing of certain materials and the performance of all work required for the improvements in a certain area as hereinafter described; that the bids received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable and hereby recommends and deems it to be for the best interests of the City of West Allis that the bid of Thomas A. Mason Co., Inc. for 2019 Project No. 16 be accepted.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the bid of Thomas A. Mason Co., Inc. for 2019 Project No. 16 for the surface preparation, containment and collection of waste materials, and the painting of the overpass at:

 

Union Pacific Railroad Bridge

S. 108th Street (WIS 100) at W. Manor Park Drive

 

for the sum of Ninety-Three Thousand, Six Hundred Thirty-Seven and 50/100 dollars ($93,637.50)

 

be accepted, and the proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to enter into contractual relations with said contractor for the performance of said work, in accordance with the prices submitted in their proposal and with the specifications of the City of West Allis, and that all other bids received for same be rejected; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That said improvements be installed with funding from the Community and Economic Development Investment Reserve.
