Title
Ordinance to repeal and recreate subsection 12.45, M-1, Manufacturing District of the Revised Municipal Code and to create a new subsection called Industrial Districts, with a Light Industrial District and Heavy Industrial District. Definitions being updated in section 12.06 of the Revised Municipal Code relative to certain industrial uses

Now therefore, the Common Council of the City of West Allis, Milwaukee County, do ordain as follows:

PART I. Section 12.04, Manufacturing District, of the Municipal Code of the City of West Allis is amended to read as follows:

INDUSTRIAL DISTRICTS
M-1, Light Industrial District
M-2, Heavy Industrial District

Part II. Section 12.06 of the Municipal Code of the City of West Allis entitled "Definitions" shall be removed, and in its entirety replaced with new amended to include updated definitions within Section 12.06 attached as Exhibit A.

PART III. Section 12.45 of the Municipal Code of the City of West Allis entitled "Industrial Districts" shall be removed, and in its entirety replaced with new Section 12.45 attached as Exhibit B.

PART IV. Industrial District zoning map amendments to the Official West Allis Zoning map shall be considered by the West Allis Plan Commission and Common Council in accordance with section 12.05 and 12.14 of the Revised Municipal Code and Chapter 10 of the 2030 Comprehensive Land Use Map. Public engagement and proper notice, including affected property owners, being part of the redistricting process.

PART V. Inconsistent Law Repealed. All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

PART VI. Severability. The provisions of this ordinance are severable. If any provision of this ordinance is invalid, or if the application of this ordinance to any person or circumstance is invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications which can be given effect without the invalid provision ...
