Resolution relative to accepting the proposal of Ewald Automotive Group for furnishing and delivering one (1) 2019 Dodge Ram 2500 Tradesman 4x2 Pick-Up Truck with 8 foot box for $27,894.00,. Additional accessories, such as rust proofing for this vehicle at an additional cost of $600.00 from Ziebart Automotive, for a total net sum of $28,494.00.

WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works, Fleet Division, has determined the need for replacement of these vehicles and included a request to purchase this vehicle in the 2019 Budget for $27,500, which was approved by Council; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Division has reported that it has received cooperative proposals through the State of Wisconsin, Contract # 505ENT-M18-2018VEHICS-00, for delivering one (1) 2019 Dodge Ram 2500 4x2 Pick-Up Truck, for the Water Department of the City of West Allis; and,
WHEREAS, the Fleet Services Division of the Department of Public Works has determined that this contract meets all desired specifications, and that the cooperative agreement proposal received is reasonable; and,
WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposals of Ewald Automotive Group be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated May 29, 2019 submitted by Ewald Automotive Group for furnishing and delivering one (1) 2019 Dodge Ram 2500 4x2 Pick-Up Truck, with additional rustproofing from Ziebart Automotive for $600.00, with the total net sum of $28,494.00 be and is hereby accepted. Funding for this purchase is available through the General Fund, Public Works Budget, and the purchase will be charged to Account Number 501-0000-165-10.03, Water Utility, Machinery & Equipment, Transportation Equipment.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Purchasing Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid equipment.
