Resolution authorizing the City Engineer to amend an existing Professional Services Contract with AECOM Technical Services, Inc. to provide Construction Engineering Services for two Green Solutions parking lots at both the West Allis Library and in the Business Improvement District, for an amount not to exceed $28,500.00.

Body
WHEREAS, the City of West Allis recognizes the importance of the use of Green Infrastructure for managing storm water in a sustainable manner; and,

WHEREAS, in this action the City has declared its intent to work with MMSD on these Green Infrastructure projects to install pervious pavers to capture and retain stormwater as part of the installation of a new parking lot pavement; and,

WHEREAS, the MMSD will provide funding for the design and installation of the pervious pavement through their Green Solutions Program and Green Infrastructure Partnership Program; and,

WHEREAS, the City has an existing Professional Services Contract with AECOM Technical Services, Inc. to provide Design Engineering Services for two Green Solutions parking lots at both the West Allis Library and in the Business Improvement District, for an amount not to exceed $64,500.00; and,

WHEREAS, the City will need further assistance from AECOM Technical Services, Inc. in the construction phases of this work including the review of contractor submittals and conducting site visits during reconstruction of the two City parking lots at the West Allis Library and at the Business Improvement District parking lot between 72nd and 73rd Streets, north of W. Greenfield Avenue, due to the lack of in house staff with a green infrastructure engineering background.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated April 10, 2019 submitted by AECOM Technical Services, Inc. to furnish Engineering Consulting Services for a Green Solutions parking lot at both the West Allis Library and in the Business Improveme...
