Resolution of Commendation for Sally Nusslock.

WHEREAS, Sally Nusslock will leave office effective May 3, 2019, after twenty eight years of service to the City of West Allis; and

WHEREAS, during her career, Sally has served the citizens of West Allis as Public Health Nurse, Assistant Director of Community Health Services, Director of Community Health Services, Acting Health Commissioner, and Health Commissioner/City Sealer/Market Master; and

WHEREAS, prior to serving the City of West Allis, Sally earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Carroll College and continually furthered her public health education through such programs as the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill's Core Public Health Concepts Certificate Program; University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill's Management Academy; fellow and mentor at the Mid-American Public Health Leadership Institute in Illinois; fellow at the Johnson & Johnson School Health Leadership Program; and as Health Officer of the Year 2013; and

WHEREAS, Sally served on the Wisconsin Public Health Association Board, and Membership and Annual Conference Committees; the Public Health Nurse Conference Planning Committee; and served as the Southeastern Wisconsin representative for the joint Wisconsin Public Health Association-Wisconsin Association of Local Health Departments and Boards Public Affairs Committee; and

WHEREAS, Sally was an invaluable member of City of West Allis committees and planning teams, including the City of West Allis Executive Leadership Team; member of the City of West Allis Service Delivery Action Team; member of the City of West Allis Emergency Government Advisory Committee; member of the City of West Allis City Strategic Plan Development Committee; member of Rotary Club of West Allis; member of the Violence Free West Allis Collaborative; member of Healthiest Communities Designation Committee; and was invaluable in the development of our core values and competencies; and
