Resolution authorizing a Professional Service Contract with KL Engineering, Inc. for Engineering Consulting Services to prepare a Street Lighting Conversion Plan for the City of West Allis for an amount not to exceed $25,000.

WHEREAS, The West Allis Common Council adopted the 2017-2021 City of West Allis Strategic Plan on January 17, 2017 (R-2017-0003) which included the goal to "develop a sustainable Capital Improvement Plan which includes equipment and facilities replacement cycles, and maintenance and repair plans"; and,
WHEREAS, The Engineering Department has reported that it duly advertised a request for proposal for engineering consultant services to prepare a Street Lighting Conversion Plan, and that the proposals received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable; and,
WHEREAS, subsequent to the highest rated firm meeting our requirements, the evaluation team recommended that the contract award be made to the best qualified firm, KL Engineering, Inc.; and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of KL Engineering, Inc. be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated March 22, 2019 submitted by KL Engineering, Inc. for furnishing Engineering Consulting Services to prepare a Street Lighting Conversion Plan for the City of West Allis for an amount not to exceed $25,000 in accordance with the corresponding City of West Allis RFP be and is hereby accepted. Funding for this purchase has been budgeted and is available in the Capital Projects Fund, and the purchase will be charged to Account Number 100-4101-533.70-04, Infrastructure Fund.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Engineer be and is hereby authorized to enter into a Professional Services Contract with KL Engineering, Inc.
