Resolution authorizing and directing the Director of Public Works to pay for sanitary sewer lateral repairs at 2408 South 67 Street in the total amount of $10,451.00.

WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works has a long standing policy of the City’s responsibility for making repairs to sanitary sewer laterals from the point of connection to the main sanitary sewer line up through the riser connection; and,
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department and Water Superintendent have determined the sanitary sewer lateral at 2408 South 67 Street failed based on field observations; it was determined the failure was a result of repairs made on a water main and service on July 12, 2018, and these repairs, which were directly on top of said lateral, caused the damage; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the Director of Public Works be and is hereby authorized and directed to make fair payment for the repair work to Mark Brunner in the amount of $10,451.00. Payment to be made from the appropriate Water Utility account.
