Resolution to approve bid of TMI Coatings, Inc. for the removal, packaging, handling, transportation and disposal of lead-containing materials and lead-contaminated materials followed by the painting of exterior exposed surfaces, including surface preparation, priming and finish coats and all incidental items necessary to complete the work in accordance with the plans and specifications at the West Allis Farmers Market located at 6501 W. National Ave. in the City of West Allis in the amount of $426,400.

WHEREAS, The Board of Public Works reports that it duly advertised for bids for the performance of all work required as hereinafter described; that the bids received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable and hereby recommends and deems it to be for the best interests of the City of West Allis that the bid of TMI Coatings, Inc. for 2019 Project No. 1 be accepted.
WHEREAS, the West Allis Farmers Market Lead Abatement and Painting project is funded with Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds; and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of West Allis (the “City”) approved a recent CDBG budget amendment for the Farmers Market Lead Abatement project on January 15, 2019 through Resolution No. R-2019-0055.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the bid of TMI Coatings, Inc. for 2019 Project No. 1 for:
removal, packaging, handling, transportation and disposal of lead-containing materials and lead-contaminated materials followed by the painting of exterior exposed surfaces, including surface preparation, priming and finish coats and all incidental items necessary to complete the work in accordance with the plans and specifications at:
West Allis Farmers Market
6501 W. National Ave.
for the sum of Four Hundred Twenty-Six Thousand, Four Hundred and 00/100 dollars ($426,400.00)
be accepted, and the proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to enter into contractual relations with said contractor for the performance of said work, in accordance with the prices submitted in their proposal and with the specifications of the City of West Allis, and that all other bids received for same be rejected; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That said improvements be installed with funding by the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds.
