Title

Resolution to establish a West Allis Farmers Market Committee.

Body

WHEREAS, the Farmers Market was previously operated by the Board of Health; and

WHEREAS, the West Allis Farmers Market Committee will now take over all operational duties for the West Allis Farmers Market from the Board of Health; and

WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City and the community to have the West Allis Farmers Market Committee operate under the overall direction and guidance of the Tourism Commission; and

WHEREAS, the West Allis Farmers Market Committee will now be a subcommittee of the Tourism Commission.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the West Allis Farmers Market Committee be and is hereby established for the purpose of monitoring the operation of the West Allis Farmers Market by making decisions and recommendations that support the long-term success of the Farmers Market.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the members of the Committee, as necessary, shall be appointed by the Mayor and approved by the Common Council.
