Resolution rescinding all previous resolutions relative to the composition of the West Allis Community Celebrations Committee and introducing the West Allis Events Committee.
Body
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 27275, dated December 17, 2002, provided for the establishment of the West Allis Community Celebrations Committee, as further amended by Resolution No. R-2003-0296, dated October 7, 2003, Resolution No. R-2006-0234, dated September 19, 2006, and Resolution No. R-2007-0182, dated August 7, 2007, changing various membership positions on the Committee; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of West Allis to rescind all the previous resolutions referred to above and re-establish the West Allis Community Celebrations Committee as the West Allis Events Committee. The West Allis Events Committee will report to the Tourism Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the West Allis Events Committee be and is hereby re-established for the purpose of annually planning and implementing community programs and events in the City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the members of the Committee, as necessary, shall be appointed by the Mayor and approved by the Common Council.
