Title

Resolution Appointing Karen Sparapani, Executive Director of Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission, as a municipal Humane Officer for the City of West Allis.

Body

WHEREAS, the City of West Allis participates with Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission (MADACC) for animal control services; and

WHEREAS, Wis. Stat. 173.03(1) provides for the governing body of each municipality to appoint one or more humane officers; and

WHEREAS, MADACC’s previous Humane Officer has retired and Karen Sparapani, the Executive Director of MADACC, is certified and has taken on the role of Humane Officer.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Karen Sparapani is appointed as a Humane Officer for the City of West Allis, and the City Administrator is authorized to execute the appointment documents.
