Resolution relative to accepting the proposal of Monroe Truck Company for furnishing and delivering one (1) 14-yard Stainless Steel Dump Body with a 10 foot trip edge wing plow, telescopic hoist, and ice control spreader package for $112,495, and the proposal of Lakeside International Truck for furnishing and delivering one 2019 International Cab and Chassis, Model# HV613 6X4 tandem axel dump truck for $120,475, for a total net sum of $232,970 for the tandem axel plow/dump truck/ spreader.

WHEREAS, the Public Works Sanitation and Street Division has a need to replace a tandem dump truck with many maintenance issues with a new, more efficient, and functional tandem dump truck that will enhance both our ice control plan as well as our street maintenance plan throughout all seasons of the year.
WHEREAS, the Finance Department has reported that it has received cooperative proposals through the Sourcewell National Cooperative Contract, formerly named NJPA, Contract # 080114-MTE, for delivering one (1) Monroe stainless steel dump body with plow and spreader package, and Sourcewell Contract # 081716-NVS for delivering one (1) 2019 International model # HV613 6X4 cab and chassis for the Public Works Sanitation and Street Division of the City of West Allis; and,
Whereas, the Fleet Services Division of the Department of Public Works has determined that this contract meets all desired specifications, and that the cooperative agreement proposal received is reasonable; and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposals of Monroe Truck Company and Lakeside International Trucks be accepted.
