Resolution to approve a Storefront Improvement Program Grant Contract by and between the City of West Allis and 6682 LLC, property owner for the property located at 6682 W. Greenfield Ave. in an amount not to exceed $100,000.

Body
WHEREAS, the City of West Allis offers a Storefront Improvement Program (SIP) that provides grants to commercial facades within the 1/2 mile radius of Tax Incremental District Number Seven (Summit Place Business Park), providing funds for offsite improvements; and,

WHEREAS, Kyle Harmon, on behalf of 6682 LLC, applied for a fa?ade grant to address issues of slum & blight on the property located at 6682 W. Greenfield Ave.; and,

WHEREAS, the project of fa?ade renovation & improvement is eligible for a SIP grant under the program guidelines and that the property is within the 1/2 mile radius of the Tax Incremental District Number Seven (Summit Place Business Park) boundaries; and,

WHEREAS, the property owner is providing a 50% match to the grant for the project by preparing the manufacturing and office space for a prospective tenant.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the Storefront Improvement Project Grant Contract, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, be and is hereby approved.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Development, or his designee, be and is hereby authorized to execute and deliver the aforesaid Contract on behalf of the City.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney be and is hereby authorized to make such substantive changes, modifications, additions and deletions to and from the various provisions of the contract, including any and all attachments, exhibits, addendums and amendments, as may be necessary and proper to correct inconsistencies, eliminate ambiguity and otherwise clarify and supplement said provisions to preserve and maintain the general intent thereof, and to prepare and deliver such other and further documents as...
