Resolution to amend City of West Allis Policies & Procedures Manual Policy No. 1424, Overtime, Compensatory Time, and Premium Pay.

WHEREAS, Policy No. 1424, Overtime, Compensatory Time, and Premium Pay, was originally adopted by the Common Council on January 1, 1982, and was most recently amended on October 17, 2017; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend said policy at this time adjusting the definition of hours worked and shortened work week for incentive routes, including guidelines for fill-in pay, and make clarifications and additions to pays in the Miscellaneous Premium Pay section; and
WHEREAS, the policy was originally going to be submitted for approval earlier this year, and numerous reasons delayed the submittal to the Common Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that Policy No. 1424, Overtime, Compensatory Time, and Premium Pay, is approved as presented, and the Miscellaneous Premium Pay listed in Section 11.3 for Acting Communications Supervisor (Dispatch Center) is authorized back to March 1, 2018.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Administrator is authorized and directed to include the amended Policy No. 1424 in the City’s Policies & Procedures Manual and to distribute said policy to all departments, divisions, and offices.
