Title

 

A Resolution declaring “Wood & Wings” scheduled for September 8, 2018, between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. as a Community Event, pursuant to Section 6.03(7)(e) of the West Allis Revised Municipal Code.

 

Body

 

WHEREAS, the Downtown Business Improvement District in partnership with the City of West Allis and the West Allis Forestry Department, plan to hold the second annual “Wood & Wings” event to bring local artists and restaurants together to raise money for beautification efforts in West Allis Downtown and to let West Allis restaurants compete to see who has the best wings in the city.  The event will include food, games, artists, local organizations, activities; and,

 

WHEREAS, “Wood & Wings” is scheduled for September 8, 2018, between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., and will be located in an area east of the West Allis City Hall including portions of South 75th Street South of West Greenfield Avenue, the municipal parking lot located east of South 75th Street, and portions of the alley immediately south of West Greenfield Avenue on the block between South 75th and South 74th Streets.  See Exhibit 1 for exact location and perimeter.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis declares the second annual “Wood & Wings” event as a community event thereby permitting the possession and consumption of fermented malt beverages on City Streets within the specific boundaries listed above and through Exhibit 1 on September 8, 2018, between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. in compliance with the provisions set forth in Section 6.03(7)(e) of the West Allis Revised Municipal Code.
