Resolution relative to accepting the proposal of Ferguson Waterworks for furnishing and delivering 56 fire hydrants for a total sum of $102,536.00.
Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Division has reported that it duly advertised a request for proposal for fire hydrants for the Public Works Department of the City of West Allis, and that the proposals received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable; and
WHEREAS, these fire hydrants are being purchased, and stored by the DPW Inventory Department, and will be issued for planned replacements for older and/or defective hydrants, as well as for street repair projects throughout the city; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of Ferguson Waterworks be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal, dated August 14, 2018, submitted by Ferguson Waterworks for furnishing and delivering fifty six (56) 2018 Clow Medallion fire hydrants at $1,831.00 each for a total sum of $102,536.00, with funding provided by the Water Utility, and the purchase being charged to Account No. 501-0000-141.01-00, Water Utility Inventory, all in accordance with RFP 18-018, be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Purchasing Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid equipment.
