Title

Resolution to amend the City’s Policies and Procedures Manual No. 1317, Social Media Policy.

 

Body

WHEREAS, Policy No. 1317, Social Media Policy, was originally adopted by the Common Council on October 21, 2014, and revised on October 17, 2017, to address the general standards and responsibilities for the acceptable use of social media; and

 

WHEREAS, the role of social media continues to evolve and it is necessary to update the policy to adapt to such changes.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that Policy No. 1317, Social Media Policy, is approved as amended, as Policy No. 204, and presented in the attached.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Administrator is authorized and directed to include the Policy No. 204 in the City of West Allis Policies & Procedures Manual and distribute said policy to all departments, divisions, and offices.
