Title

Ordinance to Amend Section 2.05(1)(c) of the Revised Municipal Code relating to Vacancies in Other Elective Offices.

Body

The Common Council of the City of West Allis do ordain as follows:

PART I.  Section 2.05(1)(c) of the Revised Municipal Code of the City of West Allis is hereby amended to read:

                     2.05. Vacancies. [Ord. O-2013-0045, 11-5-2013]

(1)                     Elective Officers.  Vacancies in the elective offices of the City of West Allis shall be filled as follows:

(c)  All Other Elective Officers.  Vacancies in all other elective offices shall be filled by appointment by the Mayor, subject to the confirmation of the Common Council.  A person so appointed shall hold office until their successor is elected and qualified.

PART II.  All other ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

PART III.  This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
