Resolution to approve bid of Green Bay Pipe & TV, LLC for the closed circuit TV inspection of sanitary and storm sewer at various locations in the City of West Allis in the amount of $109,991.00.
Body
WHEREAS, On May 1, 2018, the Common Council of the City of West Allis approved the bid of The Expediters, Inc. for the closed circuit TV Inspection of sanitary and storm sewer; but The Expediters, Inc. will not be able to fulfill their commitment due to their use of different software that is not compatible with the City's past protocol. The Expediters, Inc. has therefore asked to withdraw their bid for the work. The City has exercised our discretion and agreed to release the bid of The Expediters, Inc. and to return their Bid Guaranty and Performance Bond since The Expediters, Inc. does not have the necessary software to conduct the work in accordance with the bid documents and to the City's satisfaction, and
WHEREAS, The Board of Public Works reports that it duly advertised for bids for the furnishing of certain materials and the performance of all work required for the improvements in a certain area as hereinafter described; that the bids received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable, including the bid submitted by Green Bay Pipe & TV, LLC, and hereby recommends and deems it to be for the best interests of the City of West Allis that the bid of Green Bay Pipe & TV, LLC for 2018 Project No. 5 be accepted, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the bid of Green Bay Pipe & TV, LLC for 2018 Project No. 5 for the closed circuit TV inspection of sanitary and storm sewer at various locations in the City of West Allis for the sum of One Hundred Nine Thousand, Nine Hundred Ninety-One & 00/100 dollars ($109,991.00) be accepted, and the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to enter into contractual relations with said contractor for the performance of said work, in accordance with the p...
