Resolution authorizing the City Engineer to amend an existing Contract with Harwood Engineering Consultants, Ltd. for Engineering Consulting Services related to the conversion of old series street lighting circuits to new parallel circuits with LED lighting for an amount not to exceed $20,000.00.

WHEREAS, the City has an existing agreement with Harwood Engineering Consultants in the amount of $60,455.00 to perform an assessment of existing City facilities with regard to lighting types, quantities and electrical systems presently in use and to identify opportunities to replace existing lighting systems at various City buildings with LED technology and to prepare an energy reduction plan for each building that measures energy savings; and,
WHEREAS, the City will need further assistance from Harwood Engineering Consultants, Ltd. to produce drawings for new street lighting circuits. The City will also need assistance in producing specifications that can be used for bidding the procurement and installation of new street lighting equipment and in the review of shop drawing submittals.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated May 11, 2018 submitted by Harwood Engineering Consultants, Ltd. for furnishing Engineering Consulting Services related to the conversion of old series street lighting circuits to new parallel circuits with LED lighting for an amount not to exceed $20,000.00 be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That funds for this purchase are available in the Operating Budget, and the purchase will be charged to Account Number 100-4101-533.70-04 under Infrastructure.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Engineer be and is hereby authorized to enter into an amended Professional Services Contract with Harwood Engineering Consultants, Ltd. for Engineering Consulting Services.
