Resolution relative to determination of Special Use Permit for All About Learning, a proposed day care facility located at 11575 W. Theodore Trecker Way.

WHEREAS, Corinne Thiesen and Tracy Aslin on behalf of All About Learning, duly filed with the City Clerk an application for a Special Use Permit, pursuant to Sec. 12.45(2) and Sec. 12.16 of the Revised Municipal Code, to establish a day care facility located at 11575 W. Theodore Trecker Way; and,
WHEREAS, after due notice, a Public Hearing was held by the Common Council on May 1, 2018, at 7:00 p.m., and in the Common Council Chambers to consider the application; and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council, having carefully considered the evidence presented at the public hearing and the following pertinent facts noted:
1. The applicant, All About Learning Inc., has six locations in the Milwaukee area, with one located at 2360 S. 106 St. in West Allis. They are seeking to expand their operation to a building located at 11575 W. Theodore Trecker Way. The building is 12,000 sq. ft., and part of the site would be retooled to add two new outdoor play areas for children at the day care. There are expected to be 20 employees.
2. All About Learning Inc. anticipates purchasing the property and would remodel it shortly thereafter. All About Learning Inc. is licensed for up to 110 children and will remodel the main and lower levels to accommodate children from infancy up to five years old.
All the land of the owner being located in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 31, Township 7 North, Range 21 East, City of West Allis, Milwaukee County, State of Wisconsin, describes as follows:
Lot 1 and Westerly 68.00 feet of Lot 2, in the Rainbow Park subdivision.
