Title

An Ordinance to Amend Subsection 1.08(9)(b) of the West Allis Revised Municipal Code Relating to Tax Collection of Licenses and Permits to be Withheld for Non-Payment.

Body

The Common Council of the City of West Allis do ordain as follows:

PART I. Subsection 1.08(9)(b) of the Revised Municipal Code of the City of West Allis is hereby amended to read:

1.08 TAX COLLECTION.

(9) Licenses and Permits to be Withheld for Non-Payment.

* * *

(b) No City license and permit shall be issued unless the applicant shall first have paid any outstanding forfeiture or civil-judgment or any delinquent utility charge, false alarm charges, ambulance fee, inspection fee, special assessment or charge owed to the City at the time the license or permit is to be issued.

PART II. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby amended.

PART III. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
