Resolution adopting the 2017-2021 Milwaukee County Hazard Mitigation Plan, effective April 4, 2018.
Body
WHEREAS, in order to be eligible for Federal disaster relief funds through Stafford Act, a municipality must adopt a Hazard Mitigation Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Milwaukee County Office of Emergency Management has drafted a plan for hazard mitigation encompassing all municipalities within Milwaukee County; and
WHEREAS, the West Allis Fire Department and West Allis Center for Excellence - G.I.S. Department have provided Milwaukee County with risk assessment data specific to the City of West Allis.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that it hereby approves the 2017-2021 Milwaukee County Hazard Mitigation Plan, effective April 4, 2018.
