Resolution of Commendation for Alderperson Cathleen M. Probst.
Body
WHEREAS, Alderperson Cathleen M. Probst is resigning as Alderperson of the Second District as of March 31, 2018, after six years of Aldermanic service to the City of West Allis; and
WHEREAS, Alderperson Probst served as Vice Chairperson of the Safety and Development Committee and as a member of the Advisory Committee, the Board of Public Works, and the Administration and Finance Committee during her six years of service; and
WHEREAS, Alderperson Probst also served as a member of the Library Board and served on the City-Schools Cooperative; and
WHEREAS, Alderperson Probst has contributed to the City of West Allis and greater community throughout her entire public service career as Alderperson and as a teacher at Nathan Hale High School; and
WHEREAS, Alderperson Probst collaboratively spearheaded the creation of the City of West Allis Neighborhood Small Grant Program; amendments to ordinance 9.15(11) and creation of subsections 9.15(12), 9.15(13), 9.15(14) and 9.15(15) relating to pawn shops, secondhand stores, and secondhand jewelry dealers; and led the efforts to organize the McCarty Dale Neighborhood Association; and
WHEREAS, Alderperson Probst is deserving of special commendation for her years of service.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that Alderperson Cathleen M. Probst be and is hereby specially commended and congratulated for her dedication and service to the citizens of West Allis.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Common Council hereby extends to Alderperson Probst its best wishes for a successful and rewarding career as Youth Behavioral Specialist with Innovative Services, Inc.
Let this Resolution be entered in the official minutes of the Common Council and a certified copy go forth to Alderperson Probst.
