Resolution authorizing the Fire Chief to enter into an Enterprise Subscription Agreement and Business Associate Agreement with CommuniCare Technology, Inc. dba Pulsara related to the coordination of communication for emergent healthcare conditions.
Body
WHEREAS, CommuniCare Technology, Inc. dba Pulsara (“Pulsara”) has developed a cloud-based platform, with mobile and desktop applications (i.e., a mobile app), that allows emergency responders/paramedics in the field to communicate with the receiving hospital, via a secure messaging platform, for acute care coordination; and
WHEREAS, the City of West Allis Fire Department seeks to enter into an agreement with Pulsara which would allow its emergency responders to have access to the above-referenced technology in order to coordinate communication for emergent healthcare conditions; and
WHEREAS, the City is willing to enter into such an arrangement in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in the Enterprise Subscription Agreement and Business Associate Agreement attached hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the West Allis Fire Department shall enter into the attached Enterprise Subscription Agreement and Business Associate Agreement with Pulsara.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Fire Chief is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreements on behalf of the City.
